The 2 Tim Burton Films I watched were Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Alice in Wonderland. I noticed that in both films, Burton is showing an escape from reality. Both find places that seem just too good to be true. Johnny Depp is the star of the films, even the ones that other characters are the rightful stars. For example Alice in 'Alice in Wonderland' was less of a star that the mad hatter, played by Tim's good friend. I have also noticed that many of Tim Burton's films are dark and death related, like Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie.
